The Studio

Open Classes

Drop-in training for dancers who want to work. No application, no audition — just the barre.

Company Open Class

For dancers ages 12+

Prior training required. This is not a beginner class.

When & Where / What to Expect

When & Where

These classes run during Company rehearsal times — Tuesdays & Wednesdays, Months 1 through 3 of each Volume.

You’re training in the room with Company members. Same barre, same center, same standard.

Time: Schedule announced per Volume.

Location: Studio DMC. Address announced upon registration.

What to Expect

Classes focus on technique, conditioning, and foundation — at a pace that assumes prior training.

Former dancers, current dancers at other studios, dancers between companies — you know your way around a ballet class.

You don’t need to be at Company level, but you need to know what a barre is for. This is a room of people who’ve put in the hours.

Taught by Studio DMC faculty. These are training sessions — no audition, no commitment.

Important Notes

Separate from Jr. Company. This is an open class — not the Jr. Company cycle. No film, no costumes, no screening. Just the work.

Jr. Company members may attend as extra training at the Jr. Open Class rate. Their cycle tuition already covers Company sessions — open class is additional.

Separate from Company Open Classes (ages 12+, prior training required). Jr. Open Class is designed specifically for younger dancers and beginners — shorter blocks, age-appropriate pacing.

Available during technique months only — when the Jr. Company is in its technique phase (Month 1 of each cycle). Not available during choreography or film months.
